ESSENTIAL INFORMATION ON GLOBAL TRAINING INSTITUTE (GTI)
INTRODUCTION
GTI is a Vocational Training Institution with the main objective of training young ladies and women from the following background:
1. Students and Graduates from Junior and Senior High Schools in Ghana.
2. Those who cannot afford any formal Education and have no profession or vocation that can earn them a living.
3. Other women like Housewives and workers who want a second Profession or Vocation to increase their sources of income.
PURPOSE
The Institute has as its main purpose, to TRAIN young ladies and women in CATERING & DRESSMAKING / DESIGNING in order to contribute to
· Women’s Education & Development
· Economic Development & Empowerment and
· In fulfillment of God’s Kingdom Purpose.
VISION
Training Young Ladies and Women to Develop Vocational & Employable Skills.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES:
We have the following as our training objectives:
1. To practically train women to acquire Vocational and Employable Skills.
2. To Instill basic Godly disciplines, virtues and values into their lives.
3. To educate and motivate them to become Productive and Responsible in life.
Being a Christian oriented institution, we are dedicated to apply
and give special attention to Godly Principles in our training activities.

GRADUATION PROGRAMME/OBJECTIVES
The following are GTI objectives for graduation programmes:
1. To award qualified Students and graduands of the school with the Institute’s Certificate.
2. To exhibit or advertise the unique Training Skills and Standard of GTI.
3. To inform the audience and the public on the purpose and Development of the Institute.
THE BEGINNING OF GTI
The founder and head of the Global Training Institute completed St. Anne’s Vocational Training Institute at OdumaseKrobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana in 1982 and worked with GLORICA Catering and Dressmaking Services for four years. Mrs. Tagoe (the founder and Proprietress) started her own business namely Global Care-Takers Centre (which is now Global Training Institute) in 1986 with a borrowed Sewing Machine from an elderly female friend, and few Catering Utensils on the corridor of her Mother’s Residence at Community 8, Tema.
ACHIEVEMENTS
· 22 Graduations so far
· 41O Trainees has graduated from the school
· 128 Students or Trainees at present
- Full Time Trainees – 108
- Part Time Trainees – 20
· Hostel Facility made available for three years now (Rented facility)
